Lasers and Intense Pulsed Light work by
emitting a powerful beam of light which causes
the tissue of the body to react. This may
include the reduction of hair, fading of blood
vessels or pigment spots, or resurfacing of the
skin.
Resurfacing of the skin is an exciting
technology. As new living cells replace layers
of dead skin cells, the skin tightens and grows
back smoother with fewer wrinkles.
Lasers and Intense
Pulsed Light range from in-office
procedures, to those which require general
anesthesia for CO2, full-face resurfacing.
Lasers are effective for treating sun-damaged
skin, mild acne scarring, age spots, skin
discolorations, and many facial scars and
wrinkles.
Other conditions that respond well to laser
surgery include treating spider veins and hair
removal. Recovery time varies: most of the
technologies we utilize have no downtime and
permit immediate resumption of activities.
