Excess skin and fatty
tissues beneath the jaw is referred to
as a double chin. Many patients with this
problem can be treated by liposuction of the
excess fat or by direct fat excision
via a small incision under the chin.
This approach allows fat
removal from the neck and jowl
region through an incision under the
chin, and direct tightening of
the neck's superficial muscles to
establish a better look for your face.
If there is too much
loose neck skin and muscle, a facelift
/neck lift procedure is necessary
to properly correct this. Liposuction
of the neck region and direct fat
excision with muscle tightening can be performed
under local anesthesia.
